I love you in cursive

I love you in cursive is three words. The capital I starts with a loop at the midline and stands alone. Love is one joined stroke: a tall looped l, then o, v and e, with the o and v joined high at the midline. You is joined too, with a looped y. There are no dots or crosses.

The cursive capital I

The capital I is the letter that surprises people. In traditional cursive it looks nothing like a printed I. In the image it starts with a small loop on the left at the midline, sweeps up to the headline, and comes down with a curve at the baseline. It has no crossbars. It is a word by itself here, so it does not join the l. Leave a normal word space after it.

Joins inside love and you

In love, the o finishes at the midline and a short, level bridge carries into the v. Do not drop to the baseline between them. The v then hands off to the e from its small check at the midline. In you, the y's loop drops below the baseline and closes back at it, then climbs into the o. The o hands off to the u with a short bridge at the midline, and the u ends with an upward tail.

For a note, card, or tattoo

This phrase has no pen lifts except the spaces between words, so it is a good one to write slowly in a single pass per word. For a tattoo or engraving, give the artist a handwritten or rendered image. The Unicode cursive text you can copy is a font style, so its letters will not join the way handwriting does. Check the y loop clears the line below if space is tight.
