Mom in cursive
Mom in cursive is one joined word with no pen lifts. The capital M has three strokes that almost reach the headline, and its last stroke swings up from the baseline straight into the o. The o closes at the midline and hands off with a short bridge into a lowercase m with two rounded humps.

Capital M into o
The cursive M joins the next letter, which is not true of every capital. In the image, the M starts with a small curl at the left, climbs to just under the headline, and makes two rounded humps that each return to the baseline. From the bottom of the last one, curve up and start the o at the midline. The M's humps are about the same height.
The o to m bridge
After closing the o, pull a short bridge level with the midline, then drop into the m. The lowercase m has two humps, and the second one finishes with a small exit tail. The bridge is the step people rush. If it sags, the o and first hump blur together. Keep it short and flat, the same as the join between o and v in love.
Mom or mom
Use the capital M when Mom is used as a name, such as a card that opens Dear Mom or signed Love, Mom. Use lowercase mom after words like my or your. On a card, write it larger than the rest of your message and check the humps are even. The Unicode text you can paste is a font, not handwriting.
